 The Lalit Kala Akademi an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Culture, Government of
India, invites applications from eligible candidates for the following posts, on deputation basis.

 1. Editor (Ancient) – one post 
Group ‘A’ in PB-3 in the Pay Band with G.P. of Rs. 15600-39100+7600
plus allowances admissible under the rules to Central Govt. employee.
 Age: The candidate should not have crossed 55 years of age on the last date of receipt of
application.
 Period of Deputation: Initially for one year and can be extended for three years and in
any case will not exceed five years.
 Essential Qualifications:
a) Master’s Degree in History of Art/Art Criticism or an equivalent recognised qualification,
with good command over English, with intimate knowledge of Ancient Art in India and
abroad.
 b) At least 10 years experience of working in a Journal/magazine relating to Ancient Art or
a Newspaper of repute.
 c) Persons belonging to Central/State Govt. or University system, Cultural organisation
having at least five years regular service in the Pay Band with Grade Pay of Rs. 15600-
39100+6600 or ten years service in the Pay Band with Grade Pay of Rs. 15600-39100 + 5400.

 2. Deputy Secretary (Administration & Accounts) – one post 
(Group ‘A’ in PB-3 in the Pay Band with G.P. of Rs. 15600-39100+6600 plus allowances
admissible under the rules to Central Govt. employees.
 Essential Qualifications:
(a) A University degree or an equivalent recognised qualification.
(b) 8 years experience in Accounts and Administration in a senior capacity, preferably in
Government or Government Undertaking or autonomous organizations, following rules
similar to those in Government.
(c) Persons should belong to Central or State Govt. or University system or Cultural
organisations with at least 5 years regular service in the Pay Band with Grade Pay of Rs.
15600-39100+5400 or 8 years service in the Pay Band-2-
 with Grade Pay of Rs. 9300-34800+4800 with University degree and experience in
Administration and Accounts.
 Desirable: Graduate in Commerce with at least 3 years experience of working in an
organisation engaged in the promotion of Visual & Plastic arts and with knowledge of
using computers in work.
 Age: The candidate should not have crossed 50 years of age on the last date of receipt of
applications.
 Period of Deputation: Initially for one year and can be extended for three years and in
any case will not exceed five years.
